Introducing the New and Improved Blue Triangle Portal Navigation

Written by Chuck Moxley | Feb 19, 2025 11:51:27 PM

At Blue Triangle, we are always listening to our users and looking for ways to enhance their experience.

That's why we're excited to introduce a major update to the Blue Triangle Portal: a refreshed navigation menu designed to improve usability and streamline workflows.

What's New?

The revamped left-hand navigation menu introduces several powerful enhancements that give users greater flexibility and control. Andy Singh, Technical Alliance Manager, highlighted three key improvements:

1. Favorites for Personalization: Users can now create a customized left navigation menu by pinning frequently used pages.

"Now users can actually go in and create a personalized left nav… This way, you don't need to go to the main menu to get to it. You can just go to your favorites and get to this page very quickly," explained Andy.

2. Search for Efficiency: Finding the right page has never been easier. A new search feature lets users quickly locate sections by simply typing a keyword.

"Let's say, for example, you don't use the CSP section often, but you want to go in and update your CSP. You can click on Search and type in that specific page, and we'll actually narrow down the list," Andy said.

3. Role-Based Templates for Simplified Navigation: To tailor the experience to different types of users, we've introduced templates that reorganize the menu based on user roles.

Andy detailed, "Now what you can do is set templates based on the person's role is… Ultimately, whenever you click on any of these roles, the menu reorganizes and only shows you relevant menu items for that specific role."

Who Is It For?

Whether you're a product marketer, developer, or business analyst, these enhancements make it easier to navigate the portal. Users can take advantage of templates tailored to their roles while still enjoying the flexibility of personalizing their menus.

So in the end, everybody can have the menu that makes the most sense to them, that takes all the features they use most often, puts them in a ready-to-click place.

The Benefits

These changes are all about making the Blue Triangle Portal more intuitive and efficient:

  • Increased productivity: Spend less time searching and more time analyzing data.
  • Customization: Tailor your navigation to fit your workflow.
  • Ease of access: Quickly find the tools you need with search and favorites.
  • Streamlined experience: Role-based templates provide relevant options upfront.

While adjusting may take some time, the long-term benefits will be worth it.

"Change always takes adjustment, but once you get adjusted to it, we think that this will have great benefits to the overall user experience," Andy noted.
