When AI Takes a Deep Dive Into Your Business (And Nails It Better Than You Expected)

Last week, Blue Triangle's CMO Chuck Moxley and I were invited to participate in a Google Cloud Partner webinar titled "Unlock the value of joint messaging for Google Cloud Build partners."

During the webinar, we shared our experience working with the Google Team and the Google Partner Marketing Studio to create sales enablement materials for our work with the Google sales team.

It was one of those sessions that gets your wheels turning about the tools available to partners through Google's Partner Marketing Studio.

Among the various capabilities they showcased, one tool caught my attention: NotebookLM, powered by Gemini AI. The concept seemed almost too simple—feed it your content sources and let it generate insights about your business.

So naturally, what does one do at 5 AM when you wake up with your mind already starting the day (before your body wants to)? I know—point Google's NotebookLM at your website and YouTube channels and see what it puts together about the value your company provides to customers.

The Results... IT NAILED IT!

I uploaded our Blue Triangle website content and pointed it toward our YouTube page, then asked NotebookLM to create both a video summary and a podcast episode discussing what makes Blue Triangle powerful.

The voiceovers and discussions it generated are better than most webinars I've attended. The conversation flow, the way it connected our different value propositions, the technical depth—it was genuinely impressive.

What NotebookLM Discovered About Blue Triangle

The AI-generated podcast centered on what it identified as our core insight: digital friction is the single biggest revenue killer—often more damaging than external competition. Here are the key points it surfaced:

The Scale of the Problem:

  • Our clients uncovered $2.7 billion in lost revenue in 2023 alone
  • One customer recovered over $50 million in a single year
  • The average ROI is $13 in revenue recaptured for every $1 spent

Why Traditional Tools Miss the Mark: The podcast nailed our differentiation—traditional monitoring tools fail to tie customer frustrations and site glitches to specific dollar amounts, making strategic prioritization impossible. We solve this through specialized revenue attribution.

Technical Deep Dives That Actually Matter: NotebookLM picked up on our focus areas:

  • Core Web Vitals optimization with specific cause identification
  • LCP subpart timing analysis for actionable insights
  • Third-party tag management and optimization

Cross-Organizational Impact: It understood how our platform unites teams:

  • Engineering moves from firefighting to high-dollar impact fixes
  • Product teams uncover "silent struggles" users never reported
  • Marketing maximizes ROAS by ensuring expensive traffic converts

The Nuance That Impressed Me Most

What really caught my attention was how the AI picked up on a sophisticated concept we discuss: not all friction is bad. It understood that strategic friction—like two-factor authentication or purchase confirmations—actually enhances user experience and builds trust.

A Reality Check for Your Messaging

Here's the thing: if the data you're putting into NotebookLM accurately reflects what your company does, the output will be really good. In other words, if you want to sanity check what message your website and content is actually conveying, this is a powerful way to do it.

The fact that an AI could synthesize our various content sources and create such a coherent, accurate representation of our value proposition tells me our messaging is consistent and clear across channels.

Try It Yourself

There's no charge to upload up to 50 sources and have NotebookLM generate content from them. If you're curious about whether your company's message is coming through clearly—or if you just want to see what AI makes of your business at 5 AM—give it a shot.

The results might surprise you as much as they surprised me.
